AztecMuse Magazine
A Houston Quarterly Conveying the Visions and Accomplishments of Mexican Americans

You can pick up our magazine at all Houston Public Library sites.  We will be entering Barnes and Noble Bookstores shortly after our next VIP launch party.  We are already in Books a Million in the Houston Pavillions.  Of course, you will also find us at hot spots where our audience does business, networks, or gets culture such as Casa Ramirez in the Heights and more.  You can also have Aztec Muse delivered to your door by clicking right here:

Who so much success so quickly?:

We are not  used to being catered to.  We are used to morphing into other demographics.  This became crystal  clear to me last year during the course of a week when I attended a Jazz concert at a local club, the  opera, and a luncheon for a nonprofit organization.  There were entirely different sets of my guys, at each of these events, in the front rows.  Los hombres were there, giving 100%, the Aztec children of the  American Dream.

As I was escorted to the front row, I  realized that America is used to catering to us on an individual basis, but does not fully imagine how many of us there are, and how, out of the entire Latino family tree,  we are the branch that most closely resembles their values and lifestyles. We are the grown children of the American Dream.  We are not  used to being catered to.  We are used to morphing into other demographics.  Now we have a voice: AZTEC MUSE.

The premiere issue of AZTEC MUSE magazine hit the streets of Houston Spring 2010.  It has been a huge hit.  Our Hispanic Heritage issue is percolating as we speak.  Don't miss any of our launch parties.  AZTEC MUSE will add San Antonio, and then South Texas to its reach in the winter.  Get on board now.

How did Aztec Muse dawn on you?: I was having lunch with my friends Sergio and Juan, catching up, shooting the breeze, when it dawned on me: Sergio attended Stanford for his undergraduate degree, and then Harvard for  his law degree.   He's one of the leading corporate  lawyers in the city.  Juan graduated at the top of  his  class at UT and is a CPA with a large firm.  I'm a novelist.  It dawned on me that most people in Houston, if not  the country,  would be stunned to know that we exist.  If we even occurred to some  folks,  they might think we are exceptions.  We ARE exceptional, but we are also thousands deep.  AZTEC MUSE defines the new generation of Mexican American men who are transforming Houston, Texas, and the nation.

AZTEC MUSE magazine has an innovative style, but we are changing the industry in more ways than one.  Our approach to distribution is also unique.  We tried to buy traditional distribution lists; however, none of them serve our audience.   Instead, we devised our own list of 150 distribution points that go beyond simple geographical lists.  We had to do that because our audience is everywhere,  in every corner of t he city, but still, people say they can't find  us.   We hand our magazine to our readers where they do business, network, and get culture, from Clear Lake,  to  the inner loop of Houston, to the Woodlands.
